House on the Senior Pastor, Paul Adefarasin’s wife, Ifeanyi Adefarasin, has revealed that American Pastor, Bishop T.D Jakes who they recently hosted in their church’s event is Igbo.
Ifeanyi, who presented T.D Jakes with a gift, wrote on Facebook;
“Since tracing his roots back to the Igbo land in Nigeria, it was Bishop T.D. Jakes’ first time stepping on the Nigerian soil, with the knowledge that this is where he truly comes from. It was a special honour for me in particular, as a native sister, to present TD Jakes with a copy of NIGERIA, OUR HERITAGE…OUR COMMONWEALTH. Welcome home!

Thank you for this information regarding Pastor Jakes and his ancestry. I had my DNA completed by Ancestry and I was more than delighted to find out that I am Nigerian. My family was traced back to my Slave ancestor who as a child was on the Slave Ship called The Creole (There is a book that was written “The Creole Mutiny”). This was a successful Mutiny as it goes, people were killed and slaves were freed in the islands. I had the DNA done for my daughter. She is the one that started looking up our family and found out about our ancestry. I really had no idea that this happen and our great———————grandmother (1841) was on the ship and the Creole Manifest, but it happen. Our family has had her “Death Plague” for years and I did not know what it was. The Plague was always displayed on our SIDE BOARD through out all the years. I still have it.
