(Verse 1)
There's a question I keep on asking
As I walk this winding road
When my strength feels
There's a question I keep on asking
As I walk this winding road
When my strength feels
like a whisper
Or when my faith is like a roar
In the middle of a thousand people
Or when silence is the only sound... I know...
(Pre-Chorus)
Through every valley, every victory
Your presence is the only thing I need
(Chorus)
Through the brightest daylight, through the darkest storm
With a thousand saints around me, or when I feel all alone
If Jesus goes with me, I'll go (Oh-oh-oh)
Wherever You lead me, I will follow
(Verse 2)
On the highest of the mountains
Down in the deepest sea
When my body's feeling broken
Or when healing sets me free
When I cry out in the midnight hour
You’re the only answer that I need... Oh, I believe...
(Pre-Chorus)
Through every valley, every victory
Your presence is the only thing I need (Lead ad-libs: "Oh, yes!")
(Chorus)
Through the brightest daylight, through the darkest storm (Through the storm!)
With a thousand saints around me, or when I feel all alone
If Jesus goes with me, I'll go (I will go!)
Wherever You lead me, I will follow (I will follow!)
(Bridge)
When my own way leads to heartbreak... and my plans all turn to dust...
(Lead, growing in power)
I won't lean on my own understanding... In You alone, I put my trust!
So this is my prayer, from the depths of my soul...
(Lead, begins to call out with raw passion)
Be with me, Jesus!
(Choir responds, softly at first) Be with me, Jesus...
(Drums build with tom-toms and cymbal swells. Guitars re-enter with atmospheric swells.)
(Lead, crying out)
Hold my hand, Lord! Be with me, Jesus!
(Choir responds, louder and more passionately) Be with me, Jesus!
(Lead)
In the middle of the trial!
(Choir and Band build to a crescendo) BE WITH ME, JESUS!
(Lead)
I need You to stay!
(Choir) BE WITH ME, JESUS!
(Vamp / Outro)
(The band locks into a driving, powerful groove. The choir powerfully chants the main phrase. The Lead Vocalist ad-libs freely with passion and fire.)
(Choir) I'LL GO WHERE YOU GO! I'LL STAY WHERE YOU STAY!
(Choir) IF YOU'RE WITH ME, I'M NOT AFRAID!
(Lead Vocalist Ad-libs over the choir chant)
Yeah! Through the fire, I'll go! Through the water, I'll go!
If You're with me, Lord! I am not afraid!
To the nations, to my neighbour, wherever You call my name!
My answer is YES! My spirit says YES!
I'll go, I'll go, I'll go! With You!
With You, Jesus! I'll GO!
(Choir repeats the chant, building in intensity until the final line.)
(Ending)
(Band and choir hit a final, massive chord together and hold it.)
(Lead, soaring over the top)
If Jesus goes with me... I'll..... GO!
Or when my faith is like a roar
In the middle of a thousand people
